Federal Housing Administration: Forex Trading Guide
The Federal Housing Administration (FHA) is a government agency within the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The FHA’s primary purpose is to insure mortgages for low-income and other vulnerable borrowers. It does this by providing lenders with mortgage insurance on loans made to approved borrowers. This insurance protects the lender against losses if the borrower defaults on the loan. The FHA also provides mortgage insurance on certain reverse mortgages and offers lending programs designed to promote home ownership. FHA loans are an important tool for making home ownership an achievable goal for many Americans.
